Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Refuel/Defuel Door Proximity Sensor has been detected failed by the Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU).

Possible Causes:

  • Refuel/Defuel Door Proximity Sensor
  • Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU) (A52)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks of the Refuel/Defuel Door Proximity Sensor wires between the LGECU connector A52AP1 and connector J400. (A52AP1-C13 to J400-K and A52AP1-D13 to J400-L).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  2. Perform a visual inspection of the wires/harness between the Refuel/Defuel Door Proximity Sensor and connector P400. Repair as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Re-seat LGECU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Replace Refuel/Defuel Door Proximity Sensor.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace LGECU.
  6. Do close out.
