Fault Description:
Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) 2 senses an unsatisfactory difference between the signals from channel A and channel B of the Variable Stator Vane Actuator (VSVA). Inhibited during Take-off and Landing.
Possible Causes:
- Right Variable Stator Vane Actuator (VSVA)
- Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
- Associated Wiring

NOTE: During engine operation the FADEC compares the signals between channel A and channel B continuously.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
CAUTION: DO NOT DO ELECTRICAL CHECKS INTO THE ENGINE ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER (EEC). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE EEC CAN OCCUR.
- Perform a deactivation of the thrust reverser and open the cowls.
- Remove the applicable bypass-duct access panel and remove the applicable compressor fairing.
- Perform wiring check between the EEC 2 CH A (P1044), the bypass duct (J1030) and the VSVA CH A (P1009).
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and go to step 7.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring check between the EEC 2 CH B (P1047), the bypass duct (J1032) and the VSVA CH B (P1010).
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and go to step 7.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace the VSVA.
- If system checks are good, go to step 7.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace the EEC 2.
- Install the applicable bypass-duct access panel and the applicable compressor fairing.
- Close the cowls and activate the thrush reverser.
- Do close out.
