Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Check SAV solenoid channel A for power (P1065-1), 28 VDC should be present when SAV is commanded open.

    1. If there is 28 VDC, go to step 5.
    2. If there is no 28 VDC, continue with next step.

  2. Check for power 28 VDC at right engine disconnect 2JA2-32.

    1. If there is 28 VDC, go to step 4.
    2. If there is no 28 VDC, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks on the interface wiring between SPDA 3 and the Right Engine disconnect as follow:

    From To Result
    A15P1-N 2JA2-32

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Swap SPDA 3 with SPDA 1. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace SPDA 3 and do close out.
    2. If YES, investigate the power input to SPDA 3 and continue with next step.

  5. Perform a continuity check for SAV solenoid winding at P1065 as follows:

    From To Result
    P1065-1 P1065-5

    1. If there is no continuity, replace defective SAV and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Perform wiring checks between the SAV and the EEC.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  7. Perform wiring checks between the engine pylon disconnect 2PA2 and the EEC.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  8. Swap SAV between engines. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace defective SAV and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  9. Replace Right EEC.
  10. Do close out.
