Troubleshooting Recommendations:
CAUTION: DO NOT DO ELECTRICAL CHECKS INTO THE ENGINE ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER (EEC). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE EEC CAN OCCUR.
- Perform a deactivation of the thrust reverser.
- Get access to the left engine inboard thermocouple.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors P1044 and P1030 and perform a complete wiring checks between the connectors.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and go to step 8.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Disconnect the terminals TB2108, P1030, and TB2106 and perform a complete wiring checks between the terminals.
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and go to step 8.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Examine the interface wiring, terminals and connectors for damage between the T30 terminal block and P1044.
NOTE: Look specially for signs of chafing at clip locations, the condition of connector pins, and for kinks or strains in the wiring.- If there is no damage, go to step 8.
- If there is a damage, continue with next step.
- Replace T30 thermocouple and check if the fault message stays active.
- If the fault message is not active, go to step 8.
- If the fault message stays active, continue with next step.
- Replace the Left EEC.
- Activate the thrust reverser.
- Do close out.
