Fault Description:
The fault message is set during the engine start procedure when:
- The Full-Authority Digital Engine-Controller (FADEC) senses no accelerating torque input
- N2 does not get to starter cut-out speed in the specified time limit
This is when all other engine start system limits are in the specified limits.
Possible Causes:
- Right Starter Air Valve (SAV)
- Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
- Right Air Turbine Starter
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Open the engine cowls
- Perform wiring checks between the EEC 2 (P1043 and P1046) and the RH SAV (P1065 and P1066)
- If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Swap the Right SAV with Left SAV engine. Is the fault still present?
- If NO, replace Right SAV and do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Swap the EEC 2 with EEC 1. Is the fault still present?
- If NO, replace EEC 2 and do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Replace the RH Air Turbine Starter.
- Close the engine cowl.
- Do close out.
