Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Overview:

Fault Message:

R LOW PRESS FUEL FILTER BLKG

Fault Code:

7326514RBR

Associated CAS:

L R FUEL FILTER
(Caution)

R FUEL FILTER
(Advisory)

Reporting LRU: Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) 2
System Description: 73-30-00
Schematic Diagram: None
Wiring Diagram: 71-50-01 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

The Low Pressure (LP) Fuel Filter Differential Pressure Switch has detected an impending Fuel Filter Bypass.

Possible Causes:

  • Low Pressure (LP) Fuel Filter Differential Pressure Switch
  • Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
  • Fuel Low-Pressure Switch (P1114)
  • Contaminated Fuel System

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None

Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

  1. During an impending fuel filter blockage, "R FUEL FILTER DIFF PRESS WRG/SWITCH" CAIMS message could also be displayed when the engine is running. If this message is still shown when the engine is not running, it is an indication that the switch has failed open.
  2. The switch will open when the fuel filter differential pressure is 5±2 psid.
  3. The fuel filter bypass valve will open at 25±1 psid and will trigger the mechanical pop-up indicator on the fuel filter.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Check if CAIMS message "R FUEL FILTER DIFF PRESS WRG/SWITCH" is displayed when the engine is not running.

    1. If the message exists, troubleshoot a pressure switch failure and continue with next step.
    2. If the message does not exists, continue with next step.

  2. Check the LP fuel filter bypass valve mechanical pop-up indicator on the fuel filter.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Remove and examine the LP fuel filter and filter bowl for contamination.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Check the HP fuel filter and filter bowl for contamination.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Check the fuel system for contamination.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Run the engine and check the fuel system for contamination.

    1. If contamination not persists, do close out.
    2. If contamination persists, continue with next step.

  7. Remove and examine the LP fuel filter for contamination.

    1. If contamination not persists, do close out.
    2. If contamination persists, continue with next step.

  8. Replace the fuel low pressure switch.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  9. Replace EEC 2.
  10. Do close out.
