Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the CAIMS PMAT, get access to system diagnostics (AMM TASK 45-45-00-970-804).
  2. Go to the pages for the DEP wiring for the affected engine.
  3. Make sure that on the applicable pages, the DEP trim values are the same as on the DEP cover.

    1. If the condition remains, go to step 5.
    2. If the condition is not present, continue with next step.

  4. Swap Left EEC with Right EEC.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Left EEC and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Disconnect the DEP (EMM TASK 73-21-02-000-801) and remove the end cap of the DEP.
  6. Examine the configurations of the jumper leads in channels A and B and make sure they are the same and the jumper leads are correctly attached.

    1. If there is no same configuration for the jumper leads, replace as required and do close out.
    2. If there is same configuration for the jumper leads, continue with next step.

  7. Examine the EEC pins, DEP sockets and jumper leads to make sure there is no damage or corrosion.

    1. If there is a damage, repair as required and do close out.
    2. If there is no damage, continue with next step.

  8. Perform wiring checks of the DEP.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  9. Perform the Trim of the Data Entry Plug EMM TASK 73-21-02-820-801.
NOTE: Make sure that the DEP trim procedure is checked by a qualified person.
  10. Do close out.
