Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Examine the P50 air tube, the end connectors and unions for damage or loose connections.
NOTE: Release the clips at their locations as necessary to do a check for damage. Make sure that all the clips are installed correctly after this inspection is completed.

    1. If the tube end connections or unions have damage or leaks, replace the applicable tube and do close out.
    2. If there are loose connections, with no damage, tighten the connector and continue with next step.

  2. Examine the P50 air tube for cracks or fretting.

    1. If there are cracks or fretting, replace the applicable tube and do close out.
    2. If there are no cracks or fretting, continue with next step.

  3. Check for dent on P50 air tube which are less than 0.50 in (12.70 mm) from, or are in one diameter of the tube end connector (Use the larger of the two conditions as the limit).

    1. If the checks crosses the limit, replace the applicable tube and do close out.
    2. If the dents decrease the diameter of the tube by 10% or more, replace the applicable tube and do close out.
    3. If the checks are within limit, continue with next step.

  4. Check for smooth dents on the external surfaces of bends which are less than 0.039 in (1.00 mm) in depth, less than 0.040 in (1.02 mm) in diameter and not more than 0.025 in (0.64 mm) in depth.

    1. If dents are out of limit, replace the applicable tube and do close out.
    2. If dents are within limit, continue with next step.

  5. Check if the P50 air tube, the end connectors and unions are good.

    1. If NO, replace the applicable tube and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  6. Replace the Right EEC.
  7. Do close out.
