Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Use the PMAT to access CAIMS, SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS and navigate to the pages for the DEP WIRING for the affected engine. Make sure that on the applicable pages, the DEP trim values are the same as on the DEP cover.
- Disconnect the DEP, remove the end cap of the DEP and do the checks that follow:
- Examine the configurations of the jumper leads in channels A and B and make sure they are the same.
- Make sure the jumper leads are correctly attached.
- Examine the EEC pins, DEP sockets and jumper leads to make sure there is no damage or corrosion.
- If defects are found, repair/rectify as required.
- If no defects are found, continue with next step.
- Swap EEC 1 with EEC 2. Is the fault still present?
- If YES, continue with next step.
- If NO, replace defective EEC.
- Perform the Trim of the Data Entry Plug.
NOTE: Make sure that the DEP trim procedure is checked by a qualified person. - Do close out.
