Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Open the engine Cowls.
  2. Measure for 28 VDC at the LH SAV solenoid channel B (P1066).

    1. If there is 28 VDC, go to step 4 (when the SAV is commanded open).
    2. If there is no 28 VDC, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between the SPDA 4 (A16P4) and the EEC 1 (P1048).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and go to step 8.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Perform wiring checks between the EEC 1 (P1046) and the LH SAV (P1066).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and go to step 8.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Swap the SPDA 4 with the SPDA 1. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace SPDA 4 and go to step 8.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.
NOTE: You may swap if there is no 28 VDC between the SPDA 4 and the EEC 1.

  6. Swap the Left SAV with Right SAV between engines. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace Left SAV and go to step 8.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  7. Replace the EEC 1.
  8. Close the engine cowls.
  9. Do close out.
