Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

This message is set when there is a failure of the aircraft 28 VDC power supply to channel B of the Engine Electronic Controller (EEC). The 28 VDC is supplied by the aircraft BATT BUS. These circuits are monitored by the Full-Authority Digital Engine-Controller (FADEC) when power is applied or the engine is started.

Possible Causes:

  • Secondary Power Distribution Assembly (SPDA) 4 (A16)
  • Left Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform troubleshooting for BATT BUS.

    1. If BATT BUS is not satisfactory, repair as required and do close out.
    2. If BATT BUS is satisfactory, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between P1048 and 1PB4.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Replace Left EEC.
  4. Do close out.
