Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Left Engine Oil Pressure Transducer signal to Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) 1 CH B failed. Inhibited during Take-Off and Landing.

Possible Causes:

  • Left Engine Oil Differential Pressure Transducer
  • Left Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
  • Associated Wiring

  1. Individual engine oil pressure transducer value can be read from the CAIMS Aircraft Diagnostic, Data Bus reader. Select the ADD LABEL button and select Engine Elect Controlller (EEC XX). Then Select Label 317 and 074 to read the value of the individual oil pressure transducer.

Required actions when a drop in oil pressure is observed with increasing altitude.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Open the cowls.
  2. Perform wiring checks between the EEC 1 connector (P1046) and the Oil differential pressure transducer connector (P1081).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and go to step 5.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Swap the left oil differential pressure transducer with the CH B and A. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace left oil differential pressure transducer and go to step 5.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  4. Replace Left EEC.
  5. Close the cowls.
  6. Do close out.
