Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Overview:

Fault Message:

R TURBINE O'HEAT CH A WRG/PROBE RNG

Fault Code:

7325323RBR

Associated CAS:

r FADEC FAIL
(Caution)

Reporting LRU: Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
System Description: 77-20-00
Schematic Diagram: 77-20-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 71-50-01 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

High Pressure (HP) Turbine Overheat Thermocouple temperature signal to the Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) Channel A failed out of range.

Possible Causes:

  • Turbine Overheat Thermocouple
  • Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None

Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

  1. Both CH A and CH B Turbine overheat thermocouple temperature signal has to fail to set the R FADEC FAIL (Caution) CAS message.
  2. Each Turbine Overheat thermocouple signal shall be validated within the EEC using range cross-checks. The range check limits are 5 to +1200 °C, with range checks inhibited when N2 is less than 80%. The Turbine Overheat cross check tolerance is 30 °C.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks between connector EEC (P1030) and Thermocouple terminals (TB2114, TB2115) and the ground stud (GC2106).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  2. Swap Right Turbine Overheat Thermocouple with Left Turbine Overheat Thermocouple.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Right Turbine Overheat Thermocouple and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Replace Right EEC.
  4. Do close out.
