Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Right engine oil pressure transducer signal to Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) Channel B failed (LOSS OF OIL PRESS INDICATION - DASHES IF CH A AND CH B FAILS).

Possible Causes:

  • Right Oil Pressure Transducer Channel B
  • Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
  • Associated Wiring

  1. Individual engine oil pressure transducer value can be read from the CAIMS Aircraft Diagnostic, Data Bus reader. Select the ADD LABEL button and select Engine Elect Controller (EEC XX). Then Select Label 317 and 074 to read the value of the individual oil pressure transducer.

Rolls Royce NTO: NTO 025, Issue 001 - Engine Oil system. Required actions when a drop in oil pressure is observed with increasing altitude.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap Right oil pressure transducer CH B with Left oil pressure transducer CH B.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Right oil pressure transducer CH B and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between the Right EEC and the Oil pressure transducer.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Replace the Right EEC.
  4. Do close out.
