Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

NOTES:

  • CAUTION: If a circuit breaker opens/trips, do not try to close it before you correct the problem that caused it to open/trip. Failure to do so could cause damage to the aircraft wiring and/or equipment.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Physically disconnect the affected unit(s) powered by the thermal CB. Set the tripped circuit breaker back IN. Did the CB stay in?

    1. If YES, replace the defective unit.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Perform a continuity check between the affected thermal CB and the unit. Make sure you check for short circuit to ground and short circuit between the power and return.

    1. If wiring defects are found, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If no defects are found, continue with next step.

  3. Replace the affected thermal CB.
  4. Do close out.
