Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the EMS CDU, push on the "STAT" button. Inspect the status page and locate the virtual CB(s) that tripped. Record the exact circuit breaker name(s) for future reference.
  2. Physically disconnect/remove the affected unit(s) powered by the SSPC. Set the tripped circuit breaker back in. Did the CB stay in?

    1. If YES, replace the defective unit.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a continuity check between the affected SPDA output and the unit. Make sure you check for short circuit to ground and short circuit between the power and return. Were any defects found with the wiring interface?

    1. If YES, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  4. Replace affected SPDA. In the MRA, mention the complete list of circuit breakers that were recorded in step 1.

    1. If the issue is resolved, do close out.
    2. If the replacement of the SPDA did not resolve the issue, continue with next step.

  5. Remove and disconnect EMS CDU 1. Using EMS CDU 2, set the tripped circuit breaker back in. Did the CB stay in?

    1. If YES, replace defective EMS CDU.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  6. Reconnect EMS CDU 1 and repeat the previous step, disconnecting EMS CDU 2 instead to confirm faulty unit. Replace EMS CDU 2 if required.
  7. Do close out.
