These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

Upon Aircraft power up, some cabin systems may be unpowered.

Possible Causes:

  • Electrical Management System Control Display Unit (EMS CDU) 1 (A94)
  • Electrical Management System Control Display Unit (EMS CDU) 2 (A91)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the EMS CDU, select EMER CNTL and look at AC and DC CABIN PWR. Record if it is set to "ON" or "OFF".
  2. Select CNTL page 2 and 3 and look at the AC and DC CABIN POWER feeder status and record.
  3. Do not set any of them to "IN" before continuing with next steps.
  4. Download the DCPC and EMS CDU's NVM.
  5. Access the EMS CDU Signboard menu. Select DCPC IN.
  6. Select and record label 014 (DC Cabin Feed) bits 14 to 29.

  7. On both EMSCDU access the Signboard menu. Select the "SYSTEM" key and make a selection of CDU Info and afterwards, DCPC Info. Record the Active Microprocessor. Perform two aircraft power up, recording the Cabin power status (steps 1 and 2) and the active Microprocessor every time.

  8. Using the EMS CDU set all of the Cabin Power to "ON" (steps 1 and 2) and confirm that cabin systems are now working. Repeat step 7 and record values.

  9. Remove power from the aircraft, access the DCPC logic assembly and replace the defective DCPC Microprocessor cards. Repeat step 7 and record values.

  10. Send the results to the Bombardier Customer Response Center (CRC).
  11. Do close out.
