These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The Floor Heater does not operate. The result is that the air temperature is colder at the Flight Crew Floor.

Possible Causes:

  • Heated Floor Mat
  • Copilot Floor Heater 1 (HR2)
  • Copilot Floor Heater 2 (HR3)
  • Pilot Floor Heater 1 (HR4)
  • Pilot Floor Heater 2 (HR5)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform a continuity check of the wiring between the SPDA 1 and the heaters.

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.D

  2. Disconnect the connectors. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    For Pilot Heater 2:

    For Copilot Heater 1:

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  3. Replace the defective floor heater. Connect the disconnected connectors.
  4. Do close out.
