Message Description:
Fail shows on the Refuel/Defuel Control Panel during Refuel/Defuel procedures. The Fuel Management and Quantity Gauging Computer (FMQGC) senses an internal failure or the RDCP is defective.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Check if one of the following fault messages appears on the CAIMS PMAT.
- If YES, perform the applicable troubleshooting and do close out.
- If NO, continue with the next step.
- Check if the indications that follow show on the REFUEL/DEFUEL Control Panel.
Reference Indication PRESEL FAIL RIGHT Dashes AFT Dashes TOTAL TOTAL Value LEFT PRESEL Value CTR LEFT/RIGHT/CTR/AFT Values (One at a time) - If YES, go to step 6.
- If NO, continue with the next step.
- Check if the indications that follow show on the REFUEL/DEFUEL Control Panel.
Reference Indication PRESEL FAIL RIGHT RIGHT Value AFT AFT Value TOTAL TOTAL Value LEFT LEFT Value CTR CTR Value - If NO, perform the troubleshooting for Obseved Fault "SOV FAIL indication on the REFUEL/DEFUEL control panel" and do close out.
- If YES, replace the FMQGC and continue with next step.
- Perform a self-test of the fuel computer.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Check if FAIL is shown on the REFUEL/DEFUEL Control Panel.
- If NO, do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Replace Refuel/Defuel Control Panel.
- Do close out.
