Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Overview:

Message Name:

HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TRANSDUCERS FAILURE

Message Code: 293OBS013
Effectivity: All
System: Engine Indicating
System Description: 29-30-00
Schematic Diagram: 29-12-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
29-13-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 29-00-03 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Message Description:

A pressure transducer failure is sensed. All other possible causes for the hydraulic pressure indication failure are satisfactory. These procedures apply to the Hydraulic System 1, Hydraulic System 2 and Hydraulic System 3 pressure-transducers. Differences are identified.

Possible Causes:

  • Hydraulic System 1 Pressure Transducer (MT140)
  • Hydraulic System 2 Pressure Transducer (MT143)
  • Hydraulic System 3 Pressure Transducer (MT146)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Disconnect the affected hydraulic pressure transducer MT140P1 for Hydraulic System 1 Pressure Transducer, MT143P1 for Hydraulic System 2 Pressure Transducer or MT146P1 for Hydraulic System 3 Pressure Transducer. Perform a continuity check for a short circuit between the pins of the electrical connector on the hydraulic pressure-transducer as follows:

    From To Result
    Electrical Connector-A Electrical Connector-C
    Electrical Connector-A Electrical Connector-D
    Electrical Connector-B Electrical Connector-C
    Electrical Connector-B Electrical Connector-D

    1. If there is continuity, replace the defective hydraulic pressure-transducer and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  2. Perform a voltage check within hydraulic pressure-transducer as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    Electrical Connector-A Electrical Connector-B 0.5±0.05 VDC

NOTE: Perform this check when the transducer and external temperature is 55 to 91°F (13 to 33°C).

    1. If voltage is not satisfactory, replace the defective hydraulic pressure transducer and do close out.
    2. If voltage is satisfactory, continue with next step.

  3. Do close out.
