Message Description:
The fault isolation procedures that follow are for the Hydraulic System Temperature Transducers 1, 2 and 3. Differences are identified.
Possible Causes:
- Hydraulic System 1 Reservoir Temperature Transducer (MT138)
- Hydraulic System 2 Reservoir Temperature Transducer (MT141)
- Hydraulic System 3 Reservoir Temperature Transducer (MT144)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Disconnect the affected hydraulic-system temperature-transducer MT138P1 for 1, MT141P1 for 2 or MT144P1 for 3. Perform a check for the resistance within applicable Temperature Transducer as follows:
NOTE: The resistance must be between 67.77 Ω and 244.20 Ω.From To Expected Result Result MT138P1-A MT138P1-B 67.77 Ω - 244.20 Ω MT141P1-A MT141P1-B 67.77 Ω - 244.20 Ω MT144P1-A MT144P1-B 67.77 Ω - 244.20 Ω - If the resistance is incorrect, replace the defective Temperature Transducer and do close out.
- If the resistance is correct, continue with the next step.
- Check if the system fluid-temperature is hotter than the ambient temperature.
- If the system fluid-temperature is hotter, record the temperature at the top of the reservoir surface near the temperature transducer.
- If the system fluid-temperature is cold, or at ambient temperature, record the ambient temperature.
- Measure and record the resistance between the pins A and B of the transducer connector. Use the table that follows to find the correct value and tolerance:
Fluid Temperature Measured Resistance 14°F (-10°C) 87.04±0.40 Ω 32°F (32°C) 90.38±0.40 Ω 50°F (10°C) 93.80±0.40 Ω 68°F (20°C) 97.31±0.40 Ω 86°F (30°C) 100.91±0.40 Ω 104°F (40°C) 104.60±0.40 Ω 122°F (50°C) 108.39±0.40 Ω 140°F (60°C) 112.28±0.50 Ω 158°F (70°C) 116.27±0.50 Ω 176°F (80°C) 120.36±0.50 Ω 194°F (90°C) 124.55±0.50 Ω 212°F (100°C) 128.85±0.50 Ω 230°F (110°C) 133.26±0.50 Ω - If the resistance is satisfactory, do close out.
- If the resistance is not satisfactory, continue with the next step.
- Replace the Defective Temperature Transducer.
- Do close out.
