Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Disconnect the connectors (DS44P1 and DS44P2) for the pilot’s dome light (DS44) and/or the connectors (DS45P1 and DS45P2) for the copilot’s dome light (DS45) for the light that does not come on. Set the AREA light switch to BRT and measure the voltage at the connectors that follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    DS44P1-1 DS44P2-1 28 VDC
    DS45P1-1 DS45P2-1(Ground) 28 VDC

    1. If there is no +28 VDC, go to step 4.
    2. If there is +28 VDC, replace the Dome Light Bulb and continue with next step.

  2. Check if the dome lights operate correctly.

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, replace the defective Dome Light and continue with next step.

  3. Disconnect the Cockpit Lights (INTEGRAL) Control Panel connector (AP26P1) and the DC Power Center (DCPC) connector (A63P3). Perform voltage check as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    AP26P1-22 Ground 28 VDC

    1. If there is no 28 VDC, go to step 6.
    2. If there is 28 VDC, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    AP26P1-22 A63P3-F

    1. If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and go to step 7.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Disconnect the pilot’s dome light (DS44) connectors (DS44P1 and DS44P2), the copilot’s dome light (DS45) connectors (DS45P1 and DS45P2) and the Cockpit Lights (INTEGRAL) Control Panel connectors (AP26P1 or AP26P2). Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    DS44P1-1 AP26P1-19
    DS44P2-2 AP26P1-18
    GS686 AP26P1-17
    DS45P1-1 AP26P2-19
    GS566 DS45P2-1

    1. If there is no continuity, repair or replace defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Connect the disconnected connectors.
  7. Perform the operational test of the Dome Lights.

    1. If the operational test is satisfactory, do close out.
    2. If the operational test is not satisfactory, continue with next step.

  8. Perform the troubleshooting of observed fault COCKPIT LIGHTS (INTEGRAL) CONTROL PANEL MALFUNCTION.
  9. Do close out.
