Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Set the Eye Reference switch to ON on the COCKPIT LIGHTS (INTEGRAL) control panel. Measure the voltage at the connectors SP479 terminal 2 and SP480 terminal 2 for the eye reference light DS43 as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    SP479 (T2) SP480 (T2) +28 VDC

    1. If there is no voltage, go to step 3.
    2. If there is volatge, replace the eye reference light and continue with next step.

  2. Check if the lights come on.

    1. If the light comes on, do close out.
    2. If the light does not come on, continue with next step.

  3. Disconnect the Integral and Miscellaneous Lights Cockpit Control Panel connectors (AP26P2) and DS43 (SP479). Perform a continuity check for the eye reference light between the pins or terminals that follows and check if there is an open circuit?

    From To Result
    DS43-TBF3710R (SP479) AP26P2-18
    DS43-TBF3712B (SP480) GS558

    1. If there is an open circuit, repair or replace the defective wiring as required. Connect the disconnected connector to AP26 and do close out.
    2. If there is no open circuit, continue with next step.

  4. Perform the troubleshooting of COCKPIT LIGHTS (INTEGRAL) CONTROL PANEL MALFUNCTION.
  5. Do close out.
