Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap the service light switch. Check if the compartment lights come on.
NOTE: This makes sure the switch is not the cause of the problem.

    1. If YES, replace the defective light switch and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  2. Measure the voltage between the connectors that follow and ground:

    Compartment Lights From To Result
    DS38 SP529 Ground
    DS37 SP530-B1 Ground
    DS36 TM46-H Ground
    DS35 SP531-B1 Ground
    DS34 SP532-B1 Ground
    DS33 SP533-B1 Ground

    1. If there is voltage, repair or replace the defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is no voltage, continue with the next step.

  3. Replace the unserviceable avionics compartment Light Assembly.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Replace the forward auto-shutoff box.
  5. Do close out.
