Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Remove the affected audio panel (A8 or A9) and perform a continuity check between the GPWC connector (A64BP1) and AUDIO PANEL 1 or 2 as follows:
    For Pilot's Audio Panel:

    From To Result
    A64BP1-C13 A8P2-m
    A64BP1-D13 A8P2-j
    A64BP1-SH A8P2-SH

    For Copilot's Audio Panel:

    From To Result
    A64BP1-C13 A9P2-m
    A64BP1-D13 A9P2-j
    A64BP1-SH A9P2-SH

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and go to step 3.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  2. Install the audio panel and perform the operational test of the audio panels.

    1. If the operational test are not satisfactory, perform troubleshooting for "Audio Panel 1" or "Audio Panel 2" and do close out.
    2. If the operational test are satisfactory, go to step 6.

  3. Perform the operational test of the GPWS system. Check if the warning GPWS displayed on the PFDs.

    1. If the warning GPWS is seen on PFDs, do close out.
    2. If the warning GPWS is not seen on PFDs, continue with next step.

  4. Remove the DAU 3 (A30) and access connector A30CP1. Perform a continuity check between the pins of the connectors DAU 3 (A30CP1) and GPWC (A64AP1) or (A64BP1) as follows:

    From To Result
    A64AP1-A2 A30CP1-F8
    A64AP1-B2 A30CP1-G8
    A64AP1-SH A30CP1-SH
    A64BP1-C1 A30CP1-D7
    A64BP1-D1 A30CP1-E7
    A64BP1-SH A30CP1-SH

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Install the DAU 3 and perform the operational test of the DAU 3.

    1. If the operational test are not satisfactory, perform the troubleshooting for CAS message DAU 3A FAIL (Advisory) or DAU 3B FAIL (Advisory) and do close out.
    2. If the operational test are satisfactory, continue with next step.

  6. Replace GPWS computer.
  7. Do close out.
