Message Description:
The Global Positioning System (GPS) cannot calculate aircraft position and/or accept new program data from a Data Loader.
Possible Causes:
- Global-Navigation Satellite Sensor-Unit (GNSSU) 1 (A19)
- Global-Navigation Satellite Sensor-Unit (GNSSU) 2 (A212)
- Global Positioning System (GPS) Antenna 1 (Center) (E5)
- Global Positioning System (GPS) Antenna 2 (Center) (E53)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Make the following selections on the CAIMS PMAT:
- SYSTEM DIAG
- ATA 34 NAVIGATION
- INTEGRATED AVIONICS COMPUTER (FMS) (1 for GPS 1 and 2 for GPS 2)
- LRU TEST
- Select the LONG RANGE NAV SENSORS - ARINC-429 BUS STATUS TEST
NOTE: Page 2 of 3 shows GNSSU 1 data. Page 3 of 3 shows GNSSU 2 data.
- Compare the GNSSU test data shown on the PMAT with the data that follows:
For the GPS 1:MAINTENANCE DISCRETE
LABEL 2 (OCTAL LABEL 355)Built-In Test (BIT) Function Conditions 27 GNSSU 1 (Internal fault) 0=Good 1=Fault 26 RF Input (Antenna, coaxial cable,
