Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the front panel of the data loader, push the POWER button. Make sure all three LEDs come on temporarily (two or three seconds).

    1. If none of the LEDs come on (the data loader does not have electrical power), go to step 3.
    2. If the LEDs come on, continue with next step.

  2. Check the indications shown on the front panel of data loader and do the applicable troubleshooting.

  3. Examine the data loader connector.

    1. If the connector is defective, install a new data loader and do close out.
    2. If the connector is not defective, continue with next step.

  4. Examine the harness connector.

    1. If the harness/connector is defective, replace the connector/repair harness and do close out.
    2. If the harness connector is not defective, continue with next step.

  5. Disconnect electrical connectors A62P1 from Data Loader, A11AP1 and A11DP1 from IAC 1, A10AP1 and A10DP1 from IAC 2 or A13P3 from SPDA 1. Perform a continuity check between the pins of the connectors as follows:
    For IAC 1:

    From To Result
    A62P1-H A11AP1-45
    A62P1-G A11AP1-46
    A62P1-T A11AP1-63
    A62P1-S A11AP1-64
    A62P1-K A11AP1-97
    A62P1-J A11AP1-98
    A62P1-SH (Shield) A11AP1-SH (Shield)
    A62P1-E A11DP1-4

    For IAC 2:

    From To Result
    A62P1-H A10AP1-45
    A62P1-G A10AP1-46
    A62P1-T A10AP1-63
    A62P1-S A10AP1-64
    A62P1-K A10AP1-97
    A62P1-J A10AP1-98
    A62P1-SH (Shield) A10AP1-SH
    A62P1-D A10DP1-4

    For SPDA 1:

    From To Result
    A62P1-C A13P3-K

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Reconnect SPDA 1. Apply power to the aircraft. Perform a voltage check as follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    A62P1-C
    (Positive multimeter probe)
    A62P1-B
    (Negative multimeter probe)
    28 VDC

    1. If there is +28 VDC, go to step 8.
    2. If there is no +28 VDC, continue with next step.

  7. Perform the operational test of the SPDA 1 and check the wiring between the Dataloader and SPDA 1.

    1. If the wiring and/or power supply is defective, repair wiring and/or perform the troubleshooting of SPDA 1.
    2. If no defects are detected with the wiring and/or the SPDA, continue with next step.

  8. Replace data loader.
  9. Do close out.
