Message Overview:

Message Name:

LEFT BLEED PRESSURE TRANSDUCER OUTPUT IS OUT OF RANGE

Message Code: 361OBS008
Effectivity: All
System: Bleed Air System
System Description: 36-11-00
Schematic Diagram: 36-11-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 36-11-03 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Message Description:

The Bleed Management Controller (BMC) senses that the Bleed Pressure Transducer (BPT) output is not between 0.02 and 9.9 VDC.

Possible Causes:

  • Left Bleed Pressure Transducer (BPT) (MT96)
  • Junction Box 3 (JB3)
  • Left Bleed Management Controller (BMC) (A69)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None

Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

Troubleshooting using CAIMS message if the active channel of the bleed management controller sends the message LEFT BLEED PRESS XDCR /WRG to CAIMS when L BPT output is out of range.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap Right BPT with Left BPT.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace right BPT and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Remove power from the aircraft. Disconnect left BPT connector (MT96P1) and aft pressure bulkhead connector (P625). Remove JB3 to get access to the connector. Perform a continuity check between the BPT and the JB3 as follows:

    From To Result
    MT96P1-A P625-E
    MT96P1-B GS264
    JB3AP1-11D J625-E

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a continuity check for an open circuit between the contacts on JB3 that follows:

    From To Result
    JB3AJ1-11A JB3AJ1-11D

    1. If there is no continuity, replace JB3 (PCB2) and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  4. Disconnect the connectors P611, MT96P1 of left BPT and A69P1 of left BMC. Perform a continuity check for an open circuit between the contacts on left BPT that follows:

    From To Result
    MT96P1-C P611-HH
    MT96P1-D P611-KK
    A69P1-7 J611-HH
    A69P1-8 J611-KK

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    MT96P1-C MT96P1-D
    MT96P1-C MT96P1-Sh
    MT96P1-D MT96P1-Sh
    A69P1-7 A69P1-8
    A69P1-7 A69P1-Sh
    A69P1-8 A69P1-Sh

    1. If there is continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Replace Left BMC.
  7. Do close out.
