Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the BLEED AIR control panel, set the switches as follow:

    Reference Position/Indication
    XBLEED OPEN
    L PACK OFF
    R PACK OFF
    ANTI-ICE WING OFF
    APU BLEED ON
    L ENG BLEED OFF
    R ENG BLEED OFF

  2. Start the APU.
  3. Use the leak detector solution to perform a leak check at the two end connections of the sense line.

    1. If there is no leak, go to step 6.
    2. If a leak is detected, continue with next step.
NOTE: Bubbles or foam in the leak detection solution is an indication of a leak.

  4. Shutdown the APU and tighten the connection with the leak.
  5. Start the APU and perform the leak check again.

    1. If no leak is detected, do close out.
    2. If a leak is detected, continue with next step.

  6. Replace the sense line or unions as necessary. Is the leak still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  7. Swap Right BPT with Left BPT.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace right BPT and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  8. Replace Right BMC.
  9. Do close out.
