Possible Causes:

  • High Pressure Bleed Shutoff Valve (HPBSV)
  • Intermediate Port Pressure Transducer (IPPT)(MT112)
  • Bleed Management Computer (BMC) # 2 (A70)
  • Junction Box (JB) 4
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Do AMM Task "36-11-01-710-801 - Operational Test of the High-Pressure-Bleed Shutoff Valve".
  2. Are results satisfactory?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  3. Interchange the High Pressure Bleed Shutoff Valve (HPV) from right engine to left engine.
  4. Are results satisfactory?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  5. Did the issue follow the HPV?

    1. If Yes, replace the defective HPV.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  6. Interchange the Intermediate Pressure Port Transducer (IPPT).
  7. Does the issue follow the IPPT?

    1. If YES, replace the defective IPPT. Do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  8. Do voltage checks as follows:

    LRU From To Expected Result Result
    RH Engine/IPPT2 P734-A P734-B 28 VDC

    NOTE: The IPPT is referred to as the 5th Stage Offtake Pressure Transducer in the Wiring Manual

  9. Are the results satisfactory?

    1. If the 28 V DC is available at the IPPT continue with the next step.
    2. If 28 VDC is not available, troubleshoot the source of power. 

  10. Do the BMC 2 voltage / wiring Check as follows:

  11. Is the voltage check within the range expected?

    1. If YES, continue with the next step.
    2. If NO, troubleshoot the power source, or repair wiring as required and do close out.

  12. Interchange the BMC.
  13. Does the issue follow the BMC?

    1. If YES, replace the defective BMC. Do close out. 
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  14. Do voltage / wiring check as follows:

  15. Are results satisfactory?

    1. If YES, continue with the next step.
    2. If NO, troubleshoot the power source, or repair defective wiring as required and do close out.

  16. Do wiring check as follows.

  17. Are results satisfactory?

    1. If YES, continue with the next step.
    2. If NO, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
