Message Description:
The water level indication on the FWD or AFT external water control panel is not correct. The galley touchscreen may also display the water tank level erroneously.
Possible Causes:
- Water level probe
- Water controller
- Water control panel
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Refer to the supplemental WATER LEVEL INDICATION Wiring Diagram (WD), WG38XXXXXX for the following troubleshooting.
- Have one person observing the affected external water control panel and one person inside the aircraft performing the electrical testing.
- Access and disconnect the Water Level Controller associated to the water tank not indicating properly.
- On the aircraft side connector, provide a ground in sequence to the four level indication outputs. Do the corresponding external water control panel LED light up in sequence as well?
- If YES, replace the water level controller and do the close out.
- If NO, continue with the next step.
- perform a wiring check between the affected external water control panel and the associated water level controller.
- Is the wiring good?
- If YES, contiue with the next step.
- If NO, repair defective wiring as required and do the close out.
- Swap the FWD and the AFT water quantity probe. Did the indication problem follow the suspected probe?
- If YES, replace the defective water quantity probe.
- If NO, continue with next step.
- Or you can measure the quantity probe as follow:
- Get access to probe connector
- Between pin D and A, resistance should be approximatively 500 ohms
- Between pin D and B, resistance should be approximatively 250 ohms
- Between pin A and B, resistance should be approximatively 250 ohms
- between pin B and C, resistance should be approximatively 255 ohms. Most important, the readings between B and C should be almost identical to readings between D and B or A and B (+/- 10 ohms)
- Perform a wiring check between the affected water level controller and the associated water quantity probe.
- If wiring defects are found, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If no defects are found, continue with next step.
- Replace the suspected external water control panel.
- Do close out.
