Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform the general visual inspection of the engines - internal.
- If the system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform the detailed inspection of the fuel manifold.
- If the system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform the low pressure (LP) compressor (fan) trim balance procedure.
- If the system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace the fuel tube 20. Is the N1 VIB indication still present on the EICAS primary display?
- If NO, do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Check if the engine was shutdown in flight or the engine had shedding/ingestion of ice or the engine had bird strike or foreign object damage.
- If the engine had shedding/ingestion of ice, go to 7.
- If the engine had a bird strike or foreign object damage, go to step 8.
- If the engine was shutdown in flight, continue with next step.
- Perform the detailed inspection of the engine after inflight shutdown.
- If the system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, go to step 9.
