Message Name:

R ENG VIB INDICATION ON EICAS PRIMARY DISPLAY

Message Code: 773OBS004
Effectivity: All
System: Engine Vibration Indicating System
System Description: 77-30-00
Schematic Diagram: 77-31-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 77-31-01 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Message Description:

This gives an indication of N2 vibration exceedance. The VIB indication will show on the Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System (EICAS) primary page in amber color. This could also be an incorrect N2 vibration exceedance indication because of a defective vibration indication system.

The fault isolation procedure below gives data:

  • To make sure the vibration indication system is serviceable
  • To do inspections of the Engine when a correct N2 vibration indication is given

Possible Causes:

  • Vibration Transducer
  • Engine Vibration Monitoring Unit (EVMU) (A42)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Access active or stored faults on the PMAT. Check if the fault message EVMU [VIBRATION CARD] FAULT is displayed.

    1. If the fault message is displayed, replace Right EVMU and continue with next step.
    2. If the fault message is not displayed, continue with next step.

  2. Check if one of the following fault messages is displayed in CAIMS:

    1. If the fault message is displayed, perform the applicable troubleshooting procedure and continue with next step.
    2. If the fault message is not displayed, continue with next step.

  3. After a correct N2 vibration indication is given, perform the troubleshooting for N2 vibration exceedance.
  4. Do close out.
