Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) senses no oil pressure signal or that there is an unsatisfactory difference between the signals in the EEC channels A and B. This causes no primary oil pressure indication on the Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System (EICAS) Display in the Flight Compartment.

Possible Causes:

  • Left Oil Differential-Pressure Transducer 1
  • Left Oil Differential-Pressure Transducer 2
  • Right Oil Differential-Pressure Transducer 1
  • Right Oil Differential-Pressure Transducer 2
  • Left Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
  • Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Access CAIMS active or stored faults and check if the following messages are displayed:

    1. If YES, perform the applicable troubleshooting procedure and continue with next step.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Check if the fault condition is still active and it is serviceable.

    1. If it is serviceable, repair as required and do close out.
    2. If it is unserviceable, remove the defective EEC and continue with next step.

  3. Install the removed EEC into the other engine.
  4. Perform the fault confirmation at the engine with the EEC in the new location.

    1. If the error message does not show, perform the troubleshooting again.
    2. If the error message has moved to the other engine, continue with next step.

  5. Replace the defective EEC.
  6. Do close out.
