Message Overview:
| DDG Reference: | 27-51-01 |
| Pilot Action (QRH): | ADVISORY 7-2 |
| System Description: | 27-50-00 - Slats and Flaps System |
| Schematic Diagram: | 27-50-00 [ Global Express ] [ G5000 ] [ Global XRS ] |
| Wiring Diagram: | 27-50-07 [ Global Express ] [ G5000 ] [ Global XRS ] |
Message Description:
Flaps operate at half speed because of a fault condition in one channel.
Possible Causes:
- One Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU) (internal fault)
- Single channel failure at one of the Flaps Wingtip Position (resolver)
- Single channel failure at one of the Flaps Asymmetry Brakes
- One Flap Skew Sensor
- Single failure of one of the Flaps Motor/Brake Modules
- Associated Wiring

NOTES:
- To avoid the display of any Slat/Flap related CAS nuisance message after replacement of SFCU due to internal failure, follow AW700-27-0373 instructions.
- Execute two consecutive Slats and Flaps electrical rigging per AMM 27-51-05-820-801 (All EICAS messages and CAIMS Active faults related to the Slat Flap Control System must be disregarded throughout the dual electrical CAIMS rigging process).
- Once the two CAIMS SFCS rigging are completed, perform a complete aircraft power shut down.
- The SFCU INTERNAL FAULT can be cause by an intermittent Flap or Slat Resolver. To avoid unnecessary replacement of the SFCUs, send the Non Volatile Memory (NVM) download from both SFCUs to the Bombardier Customer Response Center (CRC) at ac.yul@aero.bombardier.com.
- If an SFCU seems to be in a locked up state, please refer to this Troubleshooting Tip.
