AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Aft Cabin Duct Temperature Sensor has been detected out of range by Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1 Channel A.

Possible Causes:

  • Duct Temperature Sensor 1 (E21)
  • Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1 (A87)
  • Associated Wiring

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin:

  • AW700-21-0160 - "PACK FAULT" CAS message while CAIMS/OMS is active (Global Express - 9002 to 9153 and G5000 - 9127 to 9411, 9417 to 9431, 9998 and Global XRS - 9159 to 9429)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Access System Diagnostics and verify sensor data is valid and compare with other sensor.

    1. If data is valid, go to step 3.
    2. If data is not valid, continue with next step.

  2. Swap AFT Cabin Duct Temperature Sensor with FWD Duct Temperature Sensor.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace the AFT Cabin Duct Temperature Sensor and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between AFT Cabin Duct Temperature Sensor and ACSC 1.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair defective associated wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Replace ACSC 1.
  5. Do close out.
