WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The compressor-discharge temperature has been detected in an overheat condition.

Possible Causes:

  • Air Cycle Machine
  • Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor 1 (E25)
  • Pack Inlet Flow Sensor 1 (MT66)
  • Air-Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1 (A87)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform leak check of the left pack.
  2. Remove re-heater condenser and perform torque check of the ACM as per CMM 21-52-09.
  3. Swap Pack Inlet Flow Sensor 1 with Pack Inlet Flow Sensor 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Pack Inlet Flow Sensor 1 and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Swap Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor 1 with Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Compressor Discharge Temperature Sensor 1 and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Perform wiring checks of all wires between compressor discharge temperature sensor and ACSC 1.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  6. Replace ACSC 1.
  7. Do close out.
