The Fan Air Valve (FAV) is detected fail if one of the following conditions is met:

• Fail close if the Pneumatic Temperature Thermostat (THC) send an opening command to FAV and FAV remain close
• Fail close if Pack Inlet Temperature (PIT) > 232°C for 30 seconds
• Fail close if PIT > 260°C for 10 seconds
• Fail open if PIT < 150°C

• Air Conditioning System Controller 2 (ACSC) (A88)
• Fan Air Valve 2 (FAV) (L28)
• Pneumatic Temperature Thermostat 2 (THC) (S13)
• Pneumatic Temperature Thermostat (THC) Filter
• Associated Wiring

Flight Operation Notifications Manual (FONM): None

1. Inspect, clean or replace the THC filters.
2. Perform leak check of the sense line between THC and FAV.
3. Interchange THC 2 with THC 1.

   1. If the system checks are good, replace THC 2 and do close out.
   2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

4. Interchange FAV 2 with FAV 1.

   1. If the system checks are good, replace FAV 2 and do close out.
   2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

5. Perform a wiring checks of the wire between ACSC and THC.

   1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective associated wiring and do close out.
   2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

6. Replace ACSC 2.
7. Do close out.
