CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Right Recirculation Fan has been detected failed by the Right Air Conditioning Controller (ACSC).

Possible Causes:

  • Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 2 (A88)
  • AC Power Center (ACPC) (A54)
  • Recirculation Fan and Check Valve 2 (B21)
  • Associated Wiring

  • AW700-21-0160 - "PACK FAULT" CAS message while CAIMS / OMS is active (Global Express / XRS - 9002 to 9312, 9314 to 9380, 9384 to 9429 and Global 5000 - 9127 to 9383, 9389 to 9400, 9404 to 9431 and 9998)

CAIMS has Pack Temp. Sensor Data for ACSC controllers on all 4 channels. This will show sensor data and give you an idea of problem areas, even with the air system not operating, but power is on.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Make sure the recirculation fan is not obstructed.
  2. Perform wiring checks between ACSC 2 and Right Recirculation Fan.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between Right Recirculation Fan and ACPC.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Swap Recirculation Fan 2 with Recirculation Fan 1.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace Recirculation Fan 2 and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace ACSC 2.
  6. Do close out.
