Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Hot Air Shut-off Valve (HASOV) 2 position does not agree with the Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 2 command.

Possible Causes:

  • Air Conditioning System Controller 2 (A88)
  • Bleed Air Control Panel (AP8)
  • Data Acquisition Units (DAU) 2 (A18)
  • Right Hot Air Shut-off Valve (L27)
  • Junction Box (JB6)
  • Bleed Air Control Panel (TRIM AIR Switch) (SDS6)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap right Hot Air Shut-off Valve with left Hot Air Shut-off Valve.

    1. If the system check is good, replace right Hot Air Shut-off Valve and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Swap DAU 2 with DAU 1.

    1. If the system check is good, replace DAU 2 and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Swap ACSC 2 with ACSC 1.

    1. If the system check is good, replace ACSC 2 and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Perform continuity check of JB6.

    1. If there is no continuity, replace JB6 and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Check K23 and K24 for correct operation.
  6. Perform a wiring check of wires between HASOV 2 and JB6.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  7. Perform a wiring check of wires between JB6 and ACSC 2.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  8. Perform a wiring check of wires between JB6 and Bleed Air Control Panel TRIM AIR SWITCH.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  9. Replace Bleed Air Control Panel.
  10. Check Trim Air Control Panel.
  11. Do close out.
