Fault Description:
Generator Control Units (GCU) 3 senses a Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG) failure on phase C.
Possible Causes:
- Generator Control Unit (GCU) 3 (A58)
- Variable Frequency Generator (VFG) 3 (G3)
- Associated Wiring

Over current detection specification: output current is more than 185 Amps on at least one phase of the Generator 3.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Swap GCU 3 with GCU 4.
- If system checks are good, replace GCU 3 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Perform wiring checks between GEN 3 and GCU 3 as follow:
From To Result G3P1-L A58P1-G - If wiring checks are not good, repair wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace GEN 3.
- Do close out.
