CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The DC Power Center (DCPC) Power Quality Monitor Card (DCPQM) has failed the Power Up Built-In Test (PBIT) or Continuous Built-In Test (CBIT).

Possible Causes:

  • DC Power Center Power Quality Monitor Card (DCPQM) (p/o A63)
  • Battery/Ram-Air Turbine Interface (BATT/RAT I/F) Card (p/o A20)
  • DC Power Center (DCPC) (A63)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Access the DCPC logic assembly. Swap the DCPQM 1 card with the DCPQM 2 card. Did the fault follow?

    1. If YES, replace DCPQM 1 card and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Remove the DCPQM 1 card and the BATT/RAT Interface card. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P121A-32 P410A-36
    P121A-28 P410A-35
    P121C-23 P410A-36
    P121C-22 P410A-35

    1. If there is no continuity, go to step 4.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  3. Replace the BATT/RAT Interface card.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Replace the DCPC.
  5. Do close out.
