Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Remove power from the A/C.
  2. Access DCPC ETC K5. Perform a continuity check on K5 as follows:

    From To Result
    K5-B1 K5-B2
    K5-7 K5-8

    1. If there is continuity, go to step 8.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.
      DCPC ETC CONTACTOR K5 FAIL

  3. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K5-8 Ground
    K5-2 Ground
    K5-3 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, replace DCPC and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  4. Access the DCPC Logic assembly. Remove PLC 1, 2 and 3. Perform a continuity check between K5 and the PLCs as follows:

    From To Result
    K5-8 P110B-16
    K5-8 P210B-16
    K5-8 P310B-16
    K5-3 P110C-30
    K5-3 P210C-30
    K5-3 P310C-30
    K5-7 Ground

    1. If there is no continuity, replace DCPC and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Reconnect any component that was disconnected during troubleshooting. Reinstall PLC 2 and PLC 3 only, leaving PLC 1 removed. Apply power to the A/C. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace the PLC 1 and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  6. Remove power from the A/C. Remove PLC 2 and reinstall PLC 1. Apply power to the A/C. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace the PLC 2 and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  7. Remove power from the A/C. Remove PLC 3 and reinstall PLC 2. Apply power to the A/C. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace the PLC 3 and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.
