These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The DC Power Quality Monitor (DCPQM) has detected an Emergency Tie Contactor (ETC) over current while other Transformer Rectifier Units (TRUs) are available and K1 and K2 is open and not failed.

The DCPQM has detected an ETC current near zero while no other TRU power is available and K1 and K2 is ON.

Possible Causes:

  • Current Transducer (IS6)
  • DC Power Quality Monitor (DCPQM) 1
  • DC Power Center (DCPC) (A63)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Access CAIMS active faults. Is CAIMS message 2460423DCPDCPC TLC1-TTC1 CONTACTOR-K1 FAILED or 2460424DCP DCPC TLC2-TTC2 CONTACTOR-K2 FAILED posted?

    1. If YES, troubleshoot this message first.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Access DCPC logic assembly. Swap DCPQM 1 with DCPQM 2. Is the fault resolved?

    1. If YES, replace DCPQM 1 and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  3. Replace current transducer IS6. Is the fault resolved?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  4. Replace DCPC.
  5. Do close out.
