Message Overview:

Fault Message:

DCPC DC EMER BUS FAILED

Fault Code:

2460506DCP

Associated CAS:

ELEC SYS FAIL
(Caution)

Reporting LRU: DC Power Center (DCPC)
System Description: 24-60-00
Schematic Diagram: 24-61-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 24-61-01 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

  1. DC EMER BUS is not powered.
  2. DC EMER BUS is isolated by the Primary Logic Cards (PLCs) due to BUS fault detection.

Possible Causes:

  • Battery Bus (BATT BUS)
  • Diode (D6)
  • Circuit Breaker (CBC4)
  • Circuit Breaker (CBC6)
  • Contactor (K6)
  • Battery/Ram-Air-Turbine Interface (BATT/RAT IF) Card
  • DC Power Center (DCPC) (A63)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None: None

Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

NOTE:

  • Make sure that the DCPC Circuit Breakers (CBC4 and CBC6) are not tripped, physically
  • Make sure that Avionics Battery direct BUS is powered

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Get access to CAIMS active faults, check for the following fault messages, troubleshoot them one by one if they are posted:
  2. Access DCPC contactor assembly. Perform a voltage check for 28 VDC as follows:

    From To Result
    CBC4 contact 2 Ground

    1. If there is no 28 VDC, replace CBC4 and do close out.
    2. If there is 28 VDC, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a voltage check for 28 VDC as follows:

    From To Result
    CBC6 contact 2 Ground

    1. If there is no 28 VDC, replace CBC6 and do close out.
    2. If there is voltage, continue with next step.

  4. Access DCPC contactor assembly. Perform a voltage check for 28 VDC as follows:

    From To Result
    K3-A2 Ground

    1. If there is no 28 VDC, replace K3 and do close out.
    2. If there is 28 VDC, continue with next step.

  5. Remove PLC 1, PLC 2 and PLC 3. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P110B-8 Ground
    P210B-8 Ground
    P310B-8 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, go to step 8.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P110B-35 K6-B2
    P210B-35 K6-B2
    P310B-35 K6-B2

    1. If there is continuity, go to step 8.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  7. Remove BATT/RAT I/F card. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    P410B-25 Ground
    P410B-27 Ground

    1. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.
    2. If there is continuity, replace BATT/RAT IF card and do close out.

  8. Replace DCPC.
  9. Do close out.
