Fault Description:
MOVING 2/SLATS IN MOTION discrete output from Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 is defective.
Possible Causes:
- Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 (A124)
- Guidance Panel (GP) (A79)
- Associated Wiring

The Guidance panel provides a discrete signal to the SFCU. The SFCU grounds this signal when the slat system is in motion. Performing a SLAT FLAP RESET on the EMS CDU may clear this fault.
NOTE: Wait at least one minute after SFCU reset to allow self test to run.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Swap SFCU 1 with SFCU 2 and confirm that they are installed properly and securely. Select a different Slat Flap Control Handle position.
- If system checks are good, replace SFCU 1 and do close out.
- If fault follows, continue with next step.
- Remove SFCU 1 and verify 28 Volt on connector A124AP1-15.
- If 28 Volts is not found, continue with next step.
- If there is 28 Volts, do close out.
- Perform wiring checks as follow:
From To Result A124AP1-15 A79P1-EE - If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace Guidance Control Panel.
- Do close out.
