Fault Description:
FLAPS/SLAT NOT ZERO discrete output from the Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 is defective.
Possible Causes:
- Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 (A124)
- Flight Control Unit 1 (A65)
- Associated Wiring

The FCU provides a 28 V discrete signal to the SFCU. The SFCU grounds this signal when the flap system is in any position greater then 0.5 degrees. Performing a SLAT FLAP RESET on the EMS CDU may clear this fault.
NOTE: Wait at least one minute after SFCU reset to allow self test to run.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Swap SFCU 1 with SFCU 2.
- If system checks are good, replace SFCU 1 and do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Remove SFCU 1 and verify 28 Volt on connector A124AP1-94.
- If there is no 28 Volts, continue with next step.
- If there is 28 Volts, do close out.
- Perform wiring checks as follow:
From To Result A124AP1-94 A65FP1-1 - If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace FCU 1. Reset FCUs latched faults.
- Do close out.
