Message Overview:

Fault Message:

DISC INTF MOV DCPC/ SFCU#2/ WRG

Fault Code:

2752249STD

Associated CAS:

SLAT FLAP BIT
(Advisory)

Reporting LRU: Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 2
System Description: 27-52-00
Schematic Diagram: 27-50-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 27-50-02 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

MOVING 1/FLAPS IN MOTION discrete output from the Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 2 is defective.

Possible Causes:

  • DC Power Center (DCPC) (A63)
  • DC Power Center (DCPC) Primary Logic Card (PLC) 1 (P110)
  • DC Power Center (DCPC) Primary Logic Card (PLC) 2 (P210)
  • DC Power Center (DCPC) Primary Logic Card (PLC) 3 (P310)
  • Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 2 (A95)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin:

Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

The DCPC provides a 28 VDC discrete signal to the SFCU. The SFCU grounds this signal when the flap system is in motion. Performing a SLAT FLAP RESET on the EMS CDU may clear this fault.

NOTE: Wait at least one minute after SFCU reset to allow self test to run.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap SFCU 2 with SFCU 1 and confirm that they are installed properly and securely.

    1. If system checks are good replace SFCU 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Select a different Slat Flap Control Handle position.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Remove SFCU 2 and verify 28 VDC on connector A95AP1-16.

    1. If 28 VDC is found, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If 28 VDC is not found, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a wiring check on interface wire that follows:

    From To Result
    A95AP1-16 A63P2-k

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Remove the Primary Logic Cards one at a time, and apply aircraft power.

    1. If fault clears after removal of any one primary logic card, replace that Primary Logic Card and do close out.
    2. If fault still present, continue with next step.

  6. Remove all three DCPC Primary Logic Cards and perform a wiring check on interface that follows:

    From To Expected Result Result
    P110B-6 A63P2-k Continuity
    P210B-6 A63P2-k Continuity
    P310B-6 A63P2-k Continuity
    Ground A63P2-k Open

CAUTION: To prevent damage to the ACPC Mother Board connectors, ensure that the jumper wire pins outside diameter (OD) does not exceed 0.025 inch.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  7. Replace DCPC.
  8. Do close out.
