Fault Description:
There is a problem with the Stab Trim Push Button.
Possible Causes:
- Stab Trim CH 1 Switch (SDS1)
- AIL/RUD/Stab Trims Control Panel (AP20)
- Flight Control Unit (FCU) 1 (A65)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Remove the FCU 1 to get access to electrical connector A65AP1 and disconnect the connector AP20P1 from the stab trim pushbutton 1. Perform a continuity check to ground between the pins of the connectors as follows:
From To Result A65AP1-7A AP20P1-E - If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If the is continuity, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A65AP1-7A Ground - If there is continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with next step.
- Replace the Stab Trim CH 1 switch or control panel. Is the fault still present?
- If NO, do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Replace FCU 1.
- Do close out.
