Flight Control Unit (FCU) 2 does not receive data from the Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 2.

Reported in the FCU memory, when the SFCU is not powered, invalid or when there is no communication from the SFCU.

This fault may sometime be cleared by performing the flight control system reset procedure.

The radio altimeter #1 can be monitored in CAIMS:

1. SYSTEM DIAG
2. 27-00 FLIGHT CONTROLS
3. FLIGHT CONTROL UNIT #2
4. LRU TEST
5. DISPLAY MISC. & SENSORS STATUS
6. Go to page 1 of 3
   

1. If CAS message(s) or CAIMS fault(s) related to the Slat Control System is posted in addition to RUD LIMITER FAIL and SLAT/FLAP CTRL UNIT #2/BUS FAULT, troubleshoot the additional message(s) first.
2. Swap SFCU 2 with SFCU 1.

   1. If system checks are good, replace SFCU 2 and do close out.
   2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

3. Perform wiring checks between SFCU 2 and FCU 2 as follow:

   From	To	Result
   A95AP1-65	A66DP1-7J
   A95AP1-78	A66DP1-7K

   1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
   2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

4. Swap FCUs and reset FCUs latched faults.
5. Do close out.
